Well-known on the GP42 circuit, the John Bassadone-owned Peninsula Petroleum Sailing Team joined the RC44 Championship Tour for the first time at the 2010 RC44 World Championships in Puerto Calero, Lanzarote. An experienced and ambitious team, comprising mainly Spanish crew members, Peninsula Petroleum made a big impact in the RC44 class in 2011 finishing eighth overall. After making it on to the podium at the 2011 RC44 World Championships, they will be hoping to repeat their success in 2012.
